Look What I Found!~~~

HI everyone, You all know that I have gone through every nook and cranny of this house in preparation for the BIG MOVE:) Well, I found this pottery basket under one of the kitchen cabinets. I have had it forever and forgot about it. So today I went to the place where I used to work and got this great FAUX succulent to put in it! I LOVE it.
I Love the curved handle on the "basket/pot". I got this from a local potter MANY years ago and I bet I only paid a dollar or 2 for it!!!!
I don't think I showed you my palm tree canisters when I posted the kitchen. I found these in Fl. many years ago and they HAD to come home with me. I got them at Steinmart before we had Steinmart up here in the north! I love the basket weave detail on these. And the bamboo detail around the rims.
A plate on a palm tree stand.
Here we have a pineapple lamp and another palm tree plate. Did you know that the pineapple is the symbol for hospitality? Oh yes it is!

I have this tricolored candle in a palm tree holder. This is all metal and pretty heavy!
And, next to that is my wax warmer.
I just love these candle holders too. I love a touch of black in any room!
One of my favorite arrangements. Love that container! YOu can see in the background that we now have 4 placemats on the table;):)
The palm trees on this candle are raised.
Hope you have enjoyed this little tour around my kitchen. I have the ITCH to redo things all over the house right now. I got some other goodies today which I will share tomorrow. XO, Pinky

  15. I just love it when I find an unexpected treasure! Something old is new all over again. I love the curvy handle of your little pot. Great choice of plant that you placed in it.

  16. Hi Pinky! I love that pretty pot and the faux succulents look so real! Love all of your palm accents! You decorate so beautifully.
    Be a sweetie,
    shelia ;)

  17. Your blog is absolutely gorgeous! I'm so glad I found it....my new friend! Love, Julie

  18. I LOVE all your palm trees. I have loved palm trees since I was a little girl! I remember going to Florida and getting so excited when I would see the first palm. I associate them always with the beach which is just my zen place! One of the first things we did when we moved here was to plant a palm tree in our yard and some small sago bushes. I adore them and am so sad to move and have to leave my palm trees!

  19. Hi Pinky! Love all the palm tree decor. I'm especially loving the pot with the succulent....looks great!

  20. Love the palm tree things in your home Pinky!
Always fun to come around and see your lovelies.

  21. Your lost pot is too cute.
Drop by my blog I'm having a giveaway.

  22. Love the pottery. Don't you love finding things?

  23. Isn't is wonderful when you run across and are reunited with something you forgot you had?! I hope it's sunny & smooth sailing in Florida! :)

  24. The pottery is great, Pinky. Love all your pineapple decor too! Did you hear the news? :)

  25. Pinky, you have to be exhausted from all the moving & re-arranging & fussing you've been doing. I hope you can rest a bit now. Lots of stress to moving, esp. when its the kids coming into your home.

I loved seeing all your pineapple things, as they remind me of FL. The way it became a sign of hospitality was the sailing ships Captains would impale a fresh pineapple on their picket fence newel posts when they got home from their trips abroad. It was to indicate that they had fresh provisions & were willing to share. They are VERY big in our Western Reserve/Williamsburg area.

  26. Lovely treasure Pinky and I love your planter very much... it is so smart looking... very lovely... these are real treasure...
Hope you will enjoy a visit at
    With love
