Good Wednesday afternoon! I am still a BUSY girl, getting ready for "the kids" to move in this weekend. We decided to give T and D the kitchen table we were using, since their "morning room" will be ALOT bigger than our breakfast room, AND it has 6 chairs. I love the style of the table and chairs. The way I acquired it was our son tried to sell it at a garage sale here for....are ya ready... $150.00, brand new in the boxes!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it didn't sell! You can't get a not so nice table and FOUR chairs at K Mart for that let alone that table and 6 chairs. Anyway, now T and D will have it to enjoy. I always felt it was a little too big for our room but didn't want to give it away. So today Joe and I took it apart and brought our old table and chairs up from the basement in anticipation of THE MOVE this weekend.
Here is our "old" table. It came from Pottery Barn and it, too used to be our sons. It was in their kitchen. When they moved they didn't have a place for it.
Is it weird that I get my CHILDRENS hand me downs:):):) So, I CLEANED the table and chairs of the basement grime and set it up for us.
The chairs are painted green and have rush seats.
They are in perfect shape, thank goodness!
But we are going to use these cushions that we had on the other chairs to try to KEEP the rush seats nice.
I found these placemats the other day that REALLY match the runner beautifully! And they wipe right off!!!! Perfect for the Mr.:):)
I also switcehed out the candle holder for my centerpiece. I love this monkey holder. It was here in my "office" so I brought it out to the kitchen for now. I have been switching around alot these days!!!!!
So now the room FEELS so much bigger. The old table is 35 by 71 inches. This one is 36 by 60 so doesn't stick out into the throughway so much. Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment to let me know you did. I will join these great parties:

ReplyDeletePinky,
ReplyDeleteMany adjustments going on in your household! I adore your enthusiasm! I, too, have been "switching" out some accesories from the lower level to the upper level. Guess it's time for a photo shoot, huh? I think you'll like the smaller table in your space.
Fondly,
Pat
