The first thing I did was make the bow and attach that.
In order to "curl" your ribbon, just twist it around you 2 fingers, then pull on it to make a "curl". You will need wired ribbon to do this.
I know....I need to have a PRETTIER place to do these tutorials!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I added a nest and greens pick under the bow then some green and cream hydrangeas.
Next, I cut apart an impatiens bush and added the flowers.
next is some variegated ivy
then a bunch of pink poppies.
I then added these pretty white filler flowers
finally, some green berries around the edges.
Here it is on Wenda's front door. She really liked it, thank goodness:):)
Thanks for your visit. I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend!!! Joe and I are busy painting at the old house. We should be done with that after tomorrow. XO, Pinky

Hi Pinky! OH, the wreath is gorgeous and what a wonderful friend you are to make it for her! What a treasure you two have been friends for that long. We usually lose touch throughout the years. Anyway, thank you for the tute on the wreath. I would never have thought of putting the bow on first! It makes so much sense. I hope you'll keep up these wreath tutes as I've learned so much from you. Have a wonderful weekend.

You are so on the ball! I still have EAster things up and to tell the truth, I just found a few hearts lingering from Valentine's Day! Yikes. I am soooo behind.
ReplyDeleteThe wreath came out beautiful! I had to come over and say hello because of the comment you made over at Hospitality Designs about the "Rosebuds" pot. My dog is named "Rosebud" so I was excited to see it too! Funny. Have a nice Sunday!

I love your wreath, so pretty & spring like. Your friend is well rewarded for giving breakfast to your friends, I'm sure it will be admired for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteDo you always have a wreath on your door throughout the year? I'm English living in France and we only ever put a wreath on our door for Christmas and I always use fresh flowers & greenery from the garden or collected from woods.
Very pretty! I'm planning to make myself some sort of summer wreaths next weekend. I really need to get one of those easel things.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tutorial! I've never thought to use an easel. Thanks for the inspiration!!
