Early Evening Beauty

The days are getting shorter, which makes me a bit sad. I LOVE daylight savings time and the daylight that lasts til 9PM. But the sun is setting earlier each day. The other night, the sun hadn't set yet but the lights (that are on timers) started to come on. I walked around looking at how pretty this time was! It was still light outside but inside the day was winding down. I took a few shots and thought I would share them with you. This lamp and the lights in the credenza come on automatically each night.

 In the living room I only turned on the ceiling fan light as I was afraid you wouldn't be able to see much without it. This room is so cozy to me, I love sitting here to read surrounded by all the things I love.
 In the breakfast room the lamp on the hutch comes on too.
 I love this birdhouse lamp, it is a favorite.
 My new jar on the new stand, love them both.
 The candles on the steps are on a remote so I can turn them on whenever I want. I can see them here from my desk at night.

 
I never usually take pictures at night but thought it might be a nice change:) Thanks for your visit!!!

    Hi Pinky! Lovely pictures, as always - I enjoy all the coziness of the timered lights coming on each night.too. Like you, I am sad to see the days get shorter, although we do get rewarded with the beauty of fall. I have just a few short weeks left before I head back to my classroom and I am savoring every second! Have a beautiful day, Jane

    I was thinking about nighttime pictures just a little while ago. We just bought some solar lights and they look so lovely at night. I can understand why you felt compelled to put this post together. :).

    Pinky, your night time pictures look beautiful, and I love the birdhouse lamp too! I love the glow of lamp and candle light on a Fall evening. It seems to bring such warmth and coziness to a space. I want to steal those ginger jars you have behind your sofa-they are gorgeous!!! I hope that you have a wonderful day!!!
