My Gingerbread bar in the Kitchen

Good morning friends! I hope you all are warmer than we are, it is freezing here. But at least we didn't get ANY of the snow that they thought we would get. For that I am grateful as I have too much to do to be stuck:) I wanted to share my gingerbread bar in the kitchen today. This is what you see as you enter the kitchen. It makes me smile every morning when I walk out to the kitchen.
This gingerbread house is actually a candle holder. My Joe electrified it for me.
The center house was a gift from him several years ago. I LOVE it. It has so many beautiful details!
This smaller house I found at Christmas Tree Shops years ago and Joe electrified it for me too. Now they all come on together.
Mrs. Claus and Santa are Byers Choice pieces as are the smaller characters. The smaller ones are called Kindles.
Both Mrs, Claus and Santa have baked a gingerbread house!

I like to place some of the Kindles actually ON the house.
I found this little ladder so have one guy up there decorating the house;)
When I got this years ago, that is what started my desire to collect enough pieces to make a gingerbread bar.
Thanks SO much for your visit. Are you still decorating or have you finished? I am done and am so glad I did it early. Have a beautiful day!!!
XO, Pinky

Christmas in the Kitchen

I like to decorate the kitchen right after I do the breakfast room. We do cook so I try not to overdo it as it has to be functional too. Here's what I did this year. I start with the buffet area and do what I call my "Gingerbread Bar". It started out one year with a gingerbread luminary candle holder. From then it grew to this, and I love it all. I didn't get a close up of the candle holder, it is the piece on the left.
These are Mr. and Mrs. Claus holding their gingerbread houses. They are Byers Choice dolls.

This large, lit gingerbread house was a gift from Joe several years ago.  I add the "Kindles" which are the little bakers also by Byers Choice.

I found this runner several years ago too and knew it would be perfect for here.
These candy trees were found at CTS (Christmas Tree Shops).
This was found at CTS also and Joe drilled a hole in the back for a light for me.

On top of the fridge is a snowman made of SUGAR!, my scale with a snowman and a lit package.
This year I put Christmas dishes in my glass front cabinets above the gingerbread bar.

 And these little packages.

I created this little vignette on the counter by the sink.

I placed the lamp on a sled and surrounded it with snowmen and flocked trees.
Love the matching lampshade. This was a gift from a friend years ago and I treasure it.

Looking around the kitchen, another Mrs. Claus and my candy tree that I will share later.
and a baking Santa. Both are from Kohls.
My utensil holder is filled with red utensils at Christmas.
An Led Candle sits here. The holly dish was made by my best friends Mother and that is where Joe puts his wallet when we come in.
On the breakfast bar we have more snowmen.
And I found 2 plaid LED candles.
This Snowman came from Kirklands and goes SO well with my kitchen tree. I will share that later as this post got TOO long;)

Thanks for your visit at this VERY busy time of the year! I can't believe how quickly Christmas is coming! I hope you are enjoying your Christmas season....or whatever holiday you observe.

Early Spring on the Coffee Table and new Pillows!

Even though Easter is late this year, I have brought out the bunnies! I LOVE bunnies and have a collection of them But today I am showing you the coffee table that has no bunnies on it....YET! I wanted to use one of my favorite arrangements for awhile, plus the new pillows that work so beautifully with it!
My Mom gave clay pieces many years ago. This one is so cute, I love that she has her little baby on her back.
This was a gift from a very good friend. She has over 500 (yes, you read that correctly) Byers Choice carolers. She went to the factory here in Pa. and was able to design her own doll. She had this one made for me!!!!! It is another thing I treasure.
These pillows really brighten up the sofa for Spring. I love the colors that bend so nicely with the arrangement and the room!

Twilight

It is very har to get a good picture when the sun is streaming in.

Thanks so much for your visit. I will be sharing a new, Spring table I the dining room on Thurs. so stop back.
