Christmas in the Kitchen

I like to decorate the kitchen right after I do the breakfast room. We do cook so I try not to overdo it as it has to be functional too. Here's what I did this year. I start with the buffet area and do what I call my "Gingerbread Bar". It started out one year with a gingerbread luminary candle holder. From then it grew to this, and I love it all. I didn't get a close up of the candle holder, it is the piece on the left.
These are Mr. and Mrs. Claus holding their gingerbread houses. They are Byers Choice dolls.

This large, lit gingerbread house was a gift from Joe several years ago.  I add the "Kindles" which are the little bakers also by Byers Choice.

I found this runner several years ago too and knew it would be perfect for here.
These candy trees were found at CTS (Christmas Tree Shops).
This was found at CTS also and Joe drilled a hole in the back for a light for me.

On top of the fridge is a snowman made of SUGAR!, my scale with a snowman and a lit package.
This year I put Christmas dishes in my glass front cabinets above the gingerbread bar.

 And these little packages.

I created this little vignette on the counter by the sink.

I placed the lamp on a sled and surrounded it with snowmen and flocked trees.
Love the matching lampshade. This was a gift from a friend years ago and I treasure it.

Looking around the kitchen, another Mrs. Claus and my candy tree that I will share later.
and a baking Santa. Both are from Kohls.
My utensil holder is filled with red utensils at Christmas.
An Led Candle sits here. The holly dish was made by my best friends Mother and that is where Joe puts his wallet when we come in.
On the breakfast bar we have more snowmen.
And I found 2 plaid LED candles.
This Snowman came from Kirklands and goes SO well with my kitchen tree. I will share that later as this post got TOO long;)

Thanks for your visit at this VERY busy time of the year! I can't believe how quickly Christmas is coming! I hope you are enjoying your Christmas season....or whatever holiday you observe.

My Christmas Kitchen and Kitchen Tree

Good morning my dear friends! I hope you are all ready for the big day as it is fast approaching! The time just FLIES in Dec., at least for me! I want to THANK YOU for taking time to visit me here at the blog. Today I am sharing my Christmas kitchen. I have my Gingerbread buffet set up again this year and will share that tomorrow. This post would be too long:)  I found this great snowman at Kirklands back in Nov and grabbed him right away. I knew just where I wanted him!
Right here on the breakfast bar!
I could not have done him for the same price I got him for. I love the arrangement in his top hat and it goes SO well with the kitchen tree!
 Don't you agree?!

On top of the fridge I have my vintage scale with a snowman perched on it, a new to me (gift) snowman made of SUGAR!!!, and a lit package.

Our sweet girl is on the fridge too, this is her school picture. She is growing up SO fast!!!!
Now we will move around the room.
I have several favorites by the sink and love my view!
This little gingerbread house holds my sponge
This one was a gift from Joe last year.
My baking Santa (from Kohl's several years ago) is in the corner in front of a favorite platter.

I got this utensil holder at Target many years ago and have never seen them there again.  I have gradually filled it with red utensils for Christmas:)

Mrs. Claus is carrying her goodies in her basket.

These 2 little guys sit by the sink. They were handmade by a local artist and were a gift from my best friend years ago. I love having things around me that bring back such good memories.
This great lamp was also a gift from a good friend. I still love it, Johnny Sue!!!!
And now here is the kitchen tree. It is filled with candy ornaments and baking things too.

These are a little big to hang so sit on a bed of snow.

2 candy garlands found at, I think, the dollar store.

 LOVE these cupcake ornaments.

Thanks again for stopping by!!!  I have got to get my gifts wrapped SOON! This coming Friday is our house tour and I am one of the houses so am getting ready for that too.
  XO, Pinky
