Shades of Green for an Early Fall Table

I have done my Fall decorating but set a simple table in shades of green. I didn't want to start with pumpkins on the table just yet. I started off making a large arrangement of limelight hydrangeas that I had dried this year for the table. I put pinecones in the bottom of the basket as filler and then added the stems of hydrangea.
 I also tried an antler for some added texture. I love this basket too.

 I am using a burlap runner and then I used a water hyacinth place mat, green square dinner plate and a green leaf salad plate. All topped off with a burlap pumpkin!
 Lowes had these tiny mums for $1.00 so I had to pick up a few. I placed them in these wicker buckets that actually have glass inserts. I will plant the mums and then use the glass with candles for the table.

 The garden chair napkin rings have a tiny pumpkin on the seat. I gathered a burlap type napkin with a green dotted napkin in the ring.

I placed my 2 brown glass pumpkins on these stands and surrounded them with candle rings.
 I found these squirrel S and P at the dollar store and couldn't resist.

 We had tiny peeks of sun the other day so I got some shots.

 The hydrangeas are in all stages of colors.

Thanks for your visit. I am praying for everyone in the path of Irma. My son is evacuating as I type this, but my sister and Joe's sister and brother are still in Fl. I am praying they will be safe.

A Transitional Outdoor Table for 2

The first few signs of Fall are in the air. The mornings are cooler and the air is different somehow. I admit I LOVE Fall. Everything associated with Fall makes me happy: apples, cider, football, making the first batch of chili, fires out on the patio; it all is fabulous to me. Not to mention decorating for Fall! Pumpkins, mums, etc. Love it and am antsy to start but am enjoying the final dregs of summer. These evenings are beautiful and perfect for enjoying our dinner outside. So, I cut some flowers from the garden, placed them into a new pitcher and set a colorful table!!! It is not summery or Fallish  just "transitional", to me.
 I built the table around the colors of the salad plates. I chose the polka dotted pitcher and then realized there were dots all over!
 The edge of the dinner plate, the design on the salad plate.

 There are little dots on the edge of the green napkin too.
 I paired the green napkin with the patterned black and white to tie in with the pitcher and the iron base of the cement leaf.

 The green flatware compliments all the othere colors.

 I cut some limelight hydrangeas, zinnias, and purple stems of the butterfly bush.

 the hydrangeas are changing color now.
 The zinnias are so vibrant!

 I added the yellow bowls to bring out the yellow in the salad plate.
 We had a chopped Italian salad for dinner. I had mine with cranberry viniagrette and Joe had Italian dressing.

 Can you see the cranberries in the dressing? It was SO good!

Thanks for your visit. I will be joining these parties:

~~~Limelight Hydrangeas and Beautiful Zinnias!~~~
The limelight hydrangeas are at their peek right now so I thought I would share them. The blossoms are so beautiful and HUGE! I love the color and how they hold up. I cut some to bring inside to enjoy too. They start out the light lime color then turn creamy white.
 This is a hydrangea TREE, that we got the first summer we were here. I just love it!
 I have 3 bushes and the tree. This one by the garage was about 2 feet tall and now has doubled in size!
 This is my neighbors bush, right behind us. She prunes it almost all the way to the ground and look how big it gets!!! It is funny that her blooms are not at the same place as mine, not at peek yet.
 Here are some shots of my zinnias. I just love these happy flowers! They are beautiful cut, for an arrangement too.
 The colors are so vibrant.
 The shapes are somewhat different too.
 This was one little flower from a 6 pack in the Spring. Now it is like a small bush:)
 LOVE this orange color!
 It is amazing that they start like this and bloom so beautifully! Mother Nature at her best!
 I have them all along this side of the house. You see this side as you drive down the street so I like to have it very colorful. The zinnia and marigold combination is also beautiful in the Fall!!!
Thanks for visiting. My Joe is 2 weeks out from his surgery and doing great!!!
XO, Pinky
