Summerizing the Mantle and Hearth

Is that a word? LOL! Here is what the mantle has looked like all Spring, but now summer WEATHER has arrived so I decided to go for it!!!
 I put together 2 arrangements in my pale green bottle/vases. I always like to use Blue and white for Summer!
 Of course I had to add some shells too.
 There will be a lot of shells placed through out the house soon, I have a large collection!
 This is another favorite container, it looks like it is made from a shell, perfect!
 I also did the hearth.
 I like these arrangements to be wispy and airy.
 I even changed out the picture over the mantle. Found this at Kirklands last year.
 This lighter and brighter look is perfect for summer.

 I changed the hearth a LITTLE by adding the hydrangea in the blue and white planter and the shells.

Thanks for your visit!! I will be partying with:

Spring in the Kitchen

Since Easter is almost behind us as I type this I thought I should share Spring in my kitchen before I change it:) You saw the breakfast room when I shared the new paint. So, now we will move over to the kitchen. It has not been painted yet, Joe needed a break. I just love this bunny in a watering can lamp. I found it last year at Kirklands. This year I added the carrots. They came from Pier 1.
 I found this little stool recently. I have been looking for one for awhile. I put my green bunny on it for now. Things will be changing again, I am sure:)
 On the counter I put the utensils in a plain green crock but have a prettier one in my "summer" bin. I also made the little arrangement in the corner.
 Just greens with a pair of bunnies peeking out and a dragon fly buzzing around.
 This bunny was a gift from a friend one year. She made it! The bunny has a basket of carrots.

 The buffet area always gets decorated.
 My largest faux chocolate bunny holds a bouquet of flowers.
 These faux chocolate bunnies came from K Mart several years ago and I got 3 sizes. SO glad I did cause I never saw them again. They are so nicely made and the flowers are beautiful!
 Some little herb pots under wire cloches.

 Another little arrangement for Spring.
 This bunny looks like stone but is paper mache!

 So, that's the tour for now. I just realized I forgot to take a picture of what is on the fridge. I will share that in another post. Thanks so much for stopping by. XO, Pinky

~~~FLOWERS for the coffee table!!!~~~
 Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all having a good weekend. It is hot and HUMID here in Pa. It feels HEAVY when you step outside. But, just for YOU, I went out and cut some flowers for my coffee table.
 The hydrangeas are blooming profusely and they are all in different stages and colors but I just cut some blue ones for now. I have one bush that is already green! Way too early, so I guess I will start drying some now. I never do that til August or Sept. My lillies are still looking and SMELLING good so I also snipped some Rose of Sharon blooms.
 This is my faux hydrangea arrangement that I made several years ago, in a TINY urn. It is done on a styroroam ball and the pieces of hydrangea are cut apart. I then also added some creamy berries, that were on a garland and just cut that into pieces too. It adds just the right finishing touch, don't you think?
 If I ever find another tiny urn, I will do a tutorial for you!
 See how tiny it is.
 I added a glass full of Rose of Sharon too. for the vignette.
Thanks for stopping by. I will join these parties next week:
