The hydrangeas are blooming profusely and they are all in different stages and colors but I just cut some blue ones for now. I have one bush that is already green! Way too early, so I guess I will start drying some now. I never do that til August or Sept. My lillies are still looking and SMELLING good so I also snipped some Rose of Sharon blooms.
This is my faux hydrangea arrangement that I made several years ago, in a TINY urn. It is done on a styroroam ball and the pieces of hydrangea are cut apart. I then also added some creamy berries, that were on a garland and just cut that into pieces too. It adds just the right finishing touch, don't you think?
If I ever find another tiny urn, I will do a tutorial for you!
See how tiny it is.
I added a glass full of Rose of Sharon too. for the vignette.

Hi Pinky,
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so pretty and give that corner of your room such a fresh feeling. I love the look of it.
Gorgeous....... I wish hydrangeas grew well in our part of the country.... yours are so pretty! However, everything you put together always turns out pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove the hydrangeas, mine are blooming now too and the colors are beautiful. I have never had luck drying my hydrangeas before the end of the summer, they would just wilt. Someone told me they still had to much moisture in them to dry. Let me know if it works for you now. Thanks for stopping by, Laura

Hi Pinky~ I love your hydrangea arrangement~ ours are LONG gone! Have you ever propagated new plants from cuttings? My MIL has some gorgeous varieties that I thought I might cut and try to propagate with some rooting hormone. I've heard it's a challenge to over winter them. Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteI am new from Blue Monday and found you here! Lovely flowers. We have desert temps in Denver! UGH! Love your shots! Thanks for the sweet share! Hugs Anne
