Fall Foyer Steps and Credenza

Good morning! I hope you all are drying out from all the RAIN we have had, especially here along the east coast! I feel so bad for the people ON the coast who have had flooding and one man's house broke right off the pilings and washed away!!!! I am counting our blessings, a little inconvenience is no match for the mess some have.
Anyway, I wanted to WELCOME you to the foyer. Many of you have seen that I line the steps with some of my blue and white jars. That never changes, I knew I would do this before we even built. But I try to enhance it each season with some additions.
 I usually have green rings around the candles and so I just added some fall rings. Each one is a little different.
 acorns adorn this one
 pumpkins
 tiny pinecones, leaves and berries
 teeny pumpkins!

 This is the first year I have decorated the credenza! I wanted to last year but never got to it. These tall candlesticks will probably be a fixture here now. I got them at Kirklands during the summer on a good sale, plus I had a coupon.
 These ceramic pumpkins blend so well with the colors in the runner.
 I forget where I found these crackle pumpkins, but liked that they are so neutral.
 In the evening this lamp comes on with a timer.
 I added some fall branches to a green demi john like bottle.

 2 garlands were twisted together to create a pretty lush garland.

 The sparkly leaves on this stem match the leaves in the runner too.
 I enjoy this vignette all the time.

Thanks for stopping by! I would love to hear from you if you have a second.
XO, Pinky

~~~A Blue and White Easter Vignette~~~
I had an ah ha moment the other day. I realized that 2 of the blue and white pieces that I have are EGGS!!! So, I thought "Easter Vignette". I bought a pretty little pot of blue campanula yesterday and then put this little vignette together. The temps are finally starting to go UP and the sun is shining so I wanted to lighten things up a tiny bit. This sure did the trick!
 I put the little glass bunny on a cut glass bowl that I turned upside down. The bowl was my Grandmothers.
 I just plopped the plant in this urn.
 I can plant it outside soon.
 I have ivy in my handled container so brought it to the table.
 And a blue pillar is placed in a beautiful faceted glass candle holder.
 This candle holder is a real favorite. The littler egg is placed on another cut glass candle holder and a little stand.
 I brought in the RL blue and white pillows for now too.
 Then I wanted to see how it looked with the bunny in place of the pot of ivy.
 I REALLY like this guy. He is new this year.
 I like him here, at least til Easter.
 These little flowers remind me of miniature roses. So pretty!
 I may make a hanging plant with them!
Thanks for your visit. I wish you all a very Happy and blessed Easter. Hope you are surrounded by family.
XO, Pinky
Breakfast Room Changes
I did get tired of looking at the snowmen, even though winter has just really begun! I am sick of it already though! So, I took them all down and packed them away, CLEANED the kitchen and breakfast room, and got things back to "normal". It was strange seeing the kitchen and breakfast room empty for awhile! I will share the kitchen soon too. I didn't have the hutch here yet this time last year so enjoyed doing that. I am really liking this look and don't think I will tire of it. I started on the top of the hutch with this large lantern. It has a battery operated candle on a timer so comes on by itself for a few hours at night. LOVE that feature! The bird is a stone like material and I added a green bottle/vase and a sprig of greens.
 These are candle sticks that I have had for many years. They are carved wood.
 I recently got this little wire cloche and placed this iron bird under it. I am looking for something to use as "seed" cause if I use real seed it will attract the varmits:):)
 A wicker wrapped bottle holds some faux flowers and ivy and a rope ball sits next to that.
 One of my demijohns and another cute bird. We have 3 bird feeders right outside the windows in here so I love seeing birds in here too! I might add a few other garden elements soon. You never know:)
 I had this little pail and placed a wicker ball in it.
 Bee skeps are another favorite.
 On the right side of the hutch top I have a larger demijohn filled with greens and sticks. And another bee skep.
 The square basket stays up here all the time. It had a wreath on it for Christmas.
 Isn't he cute?:)
 I brought this little bike planter from my office for the bottom of the hutch.
 I also put the bird and cloche on an iron stand. I added a turtle shell to this vignette too.
 Tada!!! There you have it. The house calms me after all the glitz and glam of Christmas is put away. Hope you are warmer than we are, wherever you are. We are getting some snow later today so I will be back to organizing some spaces and NOT going out! Have a beautiful week my friends!!! XO, Pinky
