A Snowy Winter Table

I CLEANED out and organized my dish room yesterday so decided to do a new table. It took me, literally, all day to accomplish thisckleaning and organizing task. It was OUT OF CONTROL, truly. You could barely walk in there, I am embarrassed to say! So, these shots were taken at night since I didn't get it done till after dark. It is a very casual table for breakfast or lunch. I love the pale green on these snowman dishes. So I added some green to the table with the votive holders too.

The little skate utensil holders were brought in too.
I found these cute S and P at Kirklands after Christmas for 75% off. Paid $1.50 and love that they have the little dish!

I placed the snowflake napkins into the snowflake glasses.

My skating Frosty is my centerpiece now. I surrounded him with greens, berries and snowflakes.

The light green flatware works well with the salad plates.

It is a nasty, cold, rainy night but the candle light casts a warm glow.

Thanks for your visit and welcome 2015!!! I am partying here:

Between Naps on the Porch – Tablescape Thursday

  1. Your table is lovely, as alway. Would love to get peak at that dish room!! LOL You have so many beautiful things I can't imagine how you store them!!

  2. Oh, I don't have a dish room, but my cupboards and other dish storage areas need to be cleaned out, edited, and organized. Definitely on my priority list for 2015.
Your snowy table is delightful and is giving me inspiration to set one here. It's time the snow people came out to play. '-)

  3. What a delightful setting for your snow people to enjoy themselves, your table is perfect and pretty.
I have a collection of snowmen and dishes myself-love, love the whimsical side of snowmen!
    Happy January,

  4. Oh what a perfect table for winter...I have a set of snowmen dishes and have yet to use may have just given me just the bit of push to create something with them....the table is so pretty and just as beautiful in the warm glow of the evening!...

  5. What a fun table, Pinky! I love the snowflake placemats, the skate utensil holders, your darling s & p shakers and the cute centerpiece. This is the perfect setting to enjoy for January. Good luck with all that cleaning and organizing! Happy New Year!

  6. Adorable "wintry" tablescape!!! Love the snowflake placemats and the skating snowman!!!

  7. Pinky,
The fire is so~o~o delightful in your candle votives, dear friend!!!
I adore your place settings with your SNOWman salad plates!!!
Cute, cute, cute, skates for the flatware!!!
    . . .and since we've no place to go. . .
Let it SNOW! Let it SNOW! Let it SNOW!!!

  8. That's the sign of a true "dish lover" - you set a table AFTER cleaning/organizing all day! And what a lovely tablescape you've created with your terrific snowman plates and accessories. The candlelight in your pics make the setting seem so cozy and inviting.

  9. What a cozy and cheery winter setting...beautiful! Happy to hear you have your dishes in order, if they are anything like mine, they can an unruly bunch lol. I am sure it felt good to tackle the chaos early in the year ! Jane

  10. I love your red and white wintry snowman tablescape, having breakfast with your delightful snowman must leave you smiling all day. I set the kitchen table in blue and white with blue snowflake plates and snowflake glasses this morning for breakfast. I think you have inspired me to add some snowmen and take some pictures to post this week.

I don't think I could walk in my dish room right now either. I use the extra bedroom to store dishes and some of the holiday decor. I also use the guest bedroom closet for boxes of holiday decor and my walk in closet has a dozen or so boxes of wine glasses. The task of purging and cleaning is quite daunting. I also keep my orchid plants on a table in the dish storage room during the holidays. It has the best Eastern window upstairs but the plants really add to the clutter. I am so dreading going through all of those boxes of holiday decor.

  11. Such a pretty and fun table ! Love it all !

  12. So delightful and Cozy! So many adorable details! Perfect for the weather we're having!

  13. There is nothing jollier than a happy snowman! Such fun Pinky!

  14. What a cute table...snowmen are so appropriate for this frigid weather!

  15. Love your snowman dishes and beautiful tablescape. I will have a dish room at the ranchburger, and I am looking forward to finally getting organized. I can't find a thing. So happy you added this delightful, pretty post to Foodie Friday!

Thanks you for leaving your lovely comments. xo, Pinky
