~~~ Lordy! More Snow~~~~
This is what we woke up to yesterday, Thursday. It was a winter wonderland BUT we had alot of damage too. Trees snapped in half, bushes snapped in half or bent over to the ground. For those of you in warm climates, lucky you!!!!!!!!!! I am OVER the snow but they are saying we could get another BIG storm on Wed.!!!! Oh Lordy! Hope you enjoy the pictures. The back deck table is a good measuring device:)
 The driveway is under there.... See the rhododendrons bent over?
 The poor birds couldn't get to the food for awhile! Mr. S. fixed that for them.
 A tree beny WAY over.
See the large branches hanging down?
It is so pretty though!!!!!! The sun was shining brightly!
 Another bird feeder.
We got about a foot or a little more.
 One of the broken rhodos.
 This was a pine tree about 30 feet high, and about 20 years old that snapped in half. This Spring is going to be alot of work around here!
The birds seemed to be having fun on the snow!!!!
 The dinner bell that came from Mr. S's grandparents farm!
 My wonderful snow remover:):)
 There was ICE under the snow:(:(
 These are about 20 foot rhodos all bent over on the side of the house.
 This one looks like it might be broken too.
Mother nature is beautiful but messy sometimes. Actually some of these rhodos NEEDED to be replaced so maybe Mother Nature decoded to take matters into her own hands:):) Thanks for stopping by!!!! XO, Pinky
  1. WOW!!!! Girl you all got some heavy duty snow. Your pictures are gorgeous, would make a beautiful coffee table book. I'm sorry you've had so much damage. I often wonder if this is someone telling us it's time to redo things or what? Stay warm and safe darling.
    hugs ~lynne~
  2. I think YOU are so lucky!!! I would give anything to have snow. I live in Palm springs CA 365days of sun YUK!!! Wanna trade?
  3. OMG! That IS beautiful but it's such a shame for all your trees and shrubs. I sure hope your winter ends SOON!!
  4. Mornin', Pinky! Just wanted to thank you for stopping by for a visit.... That is some serious snow! Do you live in Alaska? :)
  5. Oh my! Reminds me too much of the 2009 ice storm that hit our state, Arkansas. We lost over 100 limbs off of 50-75 year old oak trees. Had so many that fell on our front porch that we couldn't get out the front door, plus one that came through the roof of our sun room. We live in the country and have a well, so we had no water or power for 13 days and had 2 of our granddaughters with us. Our house sustained $22,000 worth of damage! I pray we'll never have to experience that again. So I can sympathize with you about your beautiful trees. But the snow really is beautiful.
  6. Pinky, These pics are so beautiful but I know that conditions can be treacherous. Please take care for your safety. Good day for a fire, hot chocolate and a good book.
    Thanks for visiting and your kind comments. I am going now to look at your palm trees in the kitchen.
    As I was scrolling I knew what you were wishing. LOL Hugs, Ginger
  7. Wow! I hope you get some sunshine and warmer weather soon!
  8. The pictures are sooo pretty but I know after all the snow & cold weather y'all have had you're tired of. We had a beautiful Saturday that was in the 70's & today is gorgeous but in the next couple of days it's supposed to be in the 20's. YUCK! Keep warm!
Thanks you for leaving your lovely comments. xo, Pinky
