Yes, we are STILL unpacking boxes. It may never end:):) But, it is finally feeling like OUR house. We added the Hummels to the curio cabinet. They lived in there in the other house so now they, too, feel at home. They are happy among the blue and white jars, I know, they told me....
I took these shots at an angle so you wouldn't see me in the mirror back. I was still in my PJ's:):)I opened the doors so you could see them better. I love the guardian angel and children piece.
The guy blowing the horn is beautiful too.
Most of these were gifts from my in-laws but we did buy some too.
So sweet, holding the lamb. Makes me feel like Spring is really coming.
The little girl with the deer reminds me of the old house where we had LOTS of deer.
It is kinda neat that you can see the back of the figures in the mirror, I just noticed that!
So, there you have it. Do any of you collect Hummmels? Can you believe, when my FIL started flying to Europe, in the 50's (he was a pilot), he could get these figurines for $5.00!!!!!!!!!!! He gave them away to all their friends. Thank goodness he kept alot too.
Thanks so much for your visit. I am linking to:

ReplyDeleteI had a small collection which I sold. I had the boy and girl with the basket and the boy and girl at the roadside altar. Sorry I didn't keep one or two. Curio looks lovely. xo
ReplyDeleteHi Pinky! Oh, I love seeing your beautiful collection of the blue and white and the Hummels! :) Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Pinky,
ReplyDeleteLovely Hummels, dear friend!!!
I agree that having them in front of the mirror allows for viewing all around! The reflection of your living room in the mirrors is stunning, as well!
"Mr. Ed" and I picked up a "few" hummels when in Germany. My favorite is the Nativity and the two piece Flight Into Egypt. I wanted to purchase "The Artist"...boy with the paint palette...but never could justify the amount. Perhaps, I come upon it in an Antique Mall or Estate $ale.
Thanks for sharing more of your home with all of us!
Fondly,
Pat
Pinky, love all your blue and white. Change my link to savvysouthernstyle.net not blogspot.com that is why it isn't working.
