The Big Reveal, We Have Painted!

For the past week and a half we (and by we I mean Joe) have been painting. Finally!!! I am just not a white walls person, as hard as I tried to be for 2 1/2 years. I love color, the warm, rich, earthy colors. So we chose our colors and got to work. I DID help with moving every darn thing out of the rooms and you that know me, know that is ALOT of stuff! I also put it all back when we were done. But Joe was up and down on a ladder 1,000,000 times....and with a bad hip. God bless him!!!! So, here we go with the tour. Starting at the front door. The color is TAN even though it appears to have a greenish tint in some of the pictures....It is Valspar Faint Maple.



 There is another picture of this area further down that shows a truer color....

 This wall behind the mirror shows a truer color.... the hall is still white.....for awhile:):)
 2 of the walls in the living room are this. It is Valspar Toffee Glaze.  The other wall is the Faint Maple. It is HARD to get a good picture with the sun glare.

 I LOOOVE it!! We also can't believe  how it brought out the colors in the stone. Before the stone appeared very gray.





 We also did the breakfast room and I will share that in another post. The color does NOT make the rooms appear smaller at all. They feel so warm and homey now. We truly are HOME! You get a tiny glimpse of the breakfast room in this next picture, but I will share it all next.

A Spring WELCOME!!!!

Yesterday was MUCH warmer than it has been so I got outside and decorated my front "porch". Oh how I miss my old front porch. But I do the best I can here now. I want to greet my neighbors and guests with a pretty welcome!!! I made this wreath with flowers from my stash and different egg picks that I had too! Also the forsythia stems were in my stash so this was FREE!!! Perfect!
 I then did my urn that sits by the door. Last week I found this curly willow at a garden center so grabbed a bunch.
 I then added the forsythia, some parrott tulips, an impatiens bush, and a daisy bush, all from my stash too!
 I have had this lovely lady for many years. I think I found her at CTS. I love her flowered collar and basket of pretty eggs.
 Her tiny friend decided to join in and hopped right up to the porch.
 She is very sparkly:)

 I also had one of these beautiful camellias so added that for the color.



 The temps have dropped drastically again but having the one day of Spring like temps was wonderful!!!! The sun even came out for a little while.  Happy Spring everyone, I hope it is warm where you are!

~~~Spring in the Dining Room~~~

We are up to our armpits with painting ( and by we I mean Joe), so I can't share anything there YET. So, I figured I would share what is on the dining room table right now. Just a simple collection of things I have had for years. This pretty arrangement of pink tulips in faux water is surrounded by a wreath of forsythia.
 The PALE yellow candlesticks are encircled with a ring of Easter eggs!
 My daughter gave me these 2 bunnies for Mother's day many years ago. I had seen them HIGH up on a shelf in a store and loved them. She surprised me with them!
 One is sitting and one is standing. I love the collar of flowers they are both wearing.
 These little guys I got where I used to work many years ago too. A bunny pulling a chicky in a cart. LOVE his collar of lavender!!
 My embroidered runner comes out each year. Then for dinner I have an embroidered tablecloth.


 I lit the candles just for you!

 A cute bunny pillow is on the arm chairs.
 Another sweet bunny sits on my tiny server.


 Thanks so much for your visit. Have you gotten your Spring décor out yet? The temps here sure are NOT saying Spring, but it is Spring inside!!! I am tired of the cold and SO ready for some warmer temps!!

~~~Spring Centerpiece on the Kitchen Table~~~


I shared this vignette on the coffee table last week. I then decided to move it to the kitchen table so we could enjoy it all the time and I love it here!!! The colors in the runner, the flowers, dishes etc. all are so Springy and colorful they make me happy!!! And that glorious sun shining helps too!!!!
 Soon, I will be able to plant these flowers outside!

 And I can fill my wheel barrel with Plants and flowers!
 I know my hubby will be right beside me too.
 Then after all that work we can come inside and enjoy a treat!

 The sun is shining, it is SPRING and it is a good day!!!!
 Wishing you warm, sun filled days ahead!!!!
