There is another picture of this area further down that shows a truer color....
This wall behind the mirror shows a truer color.... the hall is still white.....for awhile:):)
2 of the walls in the living room are this. It is Valspar Toffee Glaze. The other wall is the Faint Maple. It is HARD to get a good picture with the sun glare.
I LOOOVE it!! We also can't believe how it brought out the colors in the stone. Before the stone appeared very gray.
We also did the breakfast room and I will share that in another post. The color does NOT make the rooms appear smaller at all. They feel so warm and homey now. We truly are HOME! You get a tiny glimpse of the breakfast room in this next picture, but I will share it all next.

DeleteI LOVE the colors you chose, Pinky. With the crisp trim color, it really makes your decor shine. I know you are loving your inviting transformation. Hope hubby' s hip is not giving him too much grief - he did a fabulous painting job. Jane
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane. His hip gives him fits, he has arthritis in it. Just got new pain meds, the others were making him sick. UGH!
DeleteVery warm and inviting Pinky...I LOVE your stone mantel!! Don't you just love a freshly painted house!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I sure do, and I actually love the smell too:)
DeleteHave to run out everyone but will be back later to thank you all!!! And Joe thanks you too:):)
ReplyDeleteI have always loved warm, homey colors in a home. And, yours are just what I would choose! Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!! These are truly my colors, I am NOT a pastel kinda girl:)
DeleteBeautiful, beautiful Pinky!....the warm colors just make the wonderful trim and the artwork pop....a big project well worth it....great results and I am sure you are so very thrilled with the new colors!
ReplyDeleteYes, I AM thrilled with the result. I am lucky that Joe wants to do this. Hope you are having good luck antiquing!!
DeletePinky, your home looks gorgeous! Beautiful paint color!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Maria Elena!!!
DeleteIt looks great! I'm with you, not a fan of white walls. I think it makes the crown molding just blend in with everything. I don't find that the "darker" colors make my rooms feel small either.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks so warm and inviting! The color looks so rich and pretty with your art. Your husband and you make a great painting team!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janet!!
DeleteIt looks very warm and cozy. Obviously a lot of work for both of you but so worth it. Bet you can't stop staring at it!!
ReplyDeleteCathy, you are right! I love to just sit and look around now. I also love how color makes the crown molding pop!!!
DeleteIt looks so warm and cozy, Pinky. Beautiful home, and the trim work is beautiful too! Congrats on a job well done, and well undertaken. We need to paint and I just can't get up the courage to start all the moving of things...Good for you!! :) ~Zuni
ReplyDeleteThanks, Zuni. It IS alot of work but SO worth it!
DeleteLove your maple color! I am like you...I NEED color too! Your walls/rooms have more character and depth now. Sheila
ReplyDeleteYour maple and toffee walls are so warm and welcoming Pinky! I don't envy you moving all your stuff to paint :) I've always loved your collection blue & white jars on your stair treads!
ReplyDeletePinky, how beautiful! You (and by you, I mean Joe!) LOL did a fabulous job!
