I Changed the Bedding in the Master

This is not new bedding but I was craving some color. I also saw a picture on Pinterest of a British Colonial bedroom and the bedding was these same colors and similar design.
I had a swag above the mirror at Christmas and liked the look so put this one here for now.
I found these brass looking palm trees, on clearance at Joann Fabrics so grabbed them.

I like the pattern on this set and love the colors!

I have had this white orchid here but when I changed the bedding I changed it to....
This orange orchid.
 My dresser.
 Detail on the front.
This is my jewelry armoire. Love having this too, and have had it for years!
Thanks for your visit. Stay cool. WE are back into another heat wave and it is HOT. I had to wait til after 8PM to go on my walk last night. At 7:30 it was still 88 degrees.  I love summer but not this hot. But it sure beats the long cold months of winter.

New Pillows in the Master

I have been trying to continue the British Colonial look in the master and sitting room. When I found these fabulous palm pillows (at Kirklands) I grabbed them fast! Plus I had a coupon so got them for a great price! I really love them.
My bamboo lamps still look great and they are many years old.
I made this little vignette on the tray table at the foot of the bed.

I had the plain cream round pillow and the cream and gold pillow in my stash.
The edges of the palm fronds are tipped with gold.
I don't think I have ever shown you the ceiling fan. We added the light to it. The tray ceiling also is lit.
Here is the sitting area of the master.

I have had the accessories and artwork for years too. I have always been drawn to this style. The lamp was found in Fl. many years ago too.

Thanks so much for your visit. It has been raining so much it is hard to get any decent pictures. I will try to share some outside pictures soon!

My Office and NEW Desk!!!

A couple of months ago I finally got a decent desk for my computer. This is where it all happens. Before I had a tiny little computer table, I am so glad to finally have this!! I am happy to have this hutch type top on the desk that I can decorate! I already had my palm tree picture here so went with a  British Colonial kinda theme. I LOVE that look. I am using my leopard, glass candlesticks.
This guy hangs over the edge watching me:)
I love these heavy, iron candle sticks.

When my chair is here you can't see the wires underneath.

I out a few decorative things in the little cubbies.
The "book" with the shell on it, is a box for some papers.

My little sweetheart is always by me.

An elephant topped box holds some odds and ends.

This is a Haywood Wakefield desk that was my in-laws. It is beautifully made and VERY sturdy.
When I swivel to the right in my chair I can see the TV.
The leopard covered stool gets pulled out if I want to put my feet up and really relax.
 My "kids":)
Colleen on her second birthday. I can't believe how she is growing up so quickly.

This is what you see when you walk in the door.

I love this etegere and don't want to get rid of it. So it holds some favorite things.

The picture is of my Dad's company during WW2.
He is the one on the lower right. I think I really am a combo of both my Mom and Dad.

 The other wall.

This is next to the closet.

This guy moves around the house depending of time of year.

Thanks for your visit. Have a beautiful day. I am joining these parties:
