A BEEutiful Summer Table

Our daughter, Tracy,  SIL Dave , and Colleen came over today to see Tata's new hip:) Colleen brought him balloons and a card and was fascinated with his BIG bandage. After they left and I cleaned up, I decided to set a new table since I had emptied the table after lunch. Here is our new table...for awhile! I wanted to do black and white and yellow so I thought BEES!
 I went outside and got some yellow zinnias from the garden.
 These beehive canisters are the BEES KNEES:)
 The bird S and P sit on a black and white bird plate.
 2 plates are nestled together for part of the centerpiece.
 A bee sits in one of the topiaries.

 Of course we have to have our bee glasses too!
 I laid a patterned black and white placemat over a solid yellow one.

 The flowered embroidery on the corner of the placemat is a good match to the inside of the bowl.
 I gathered a black and white patterned napkin with a solid yellow.

We will enjoy this table for a few weeks I'm sure. I will be sharing at these great parties:

~~~Cheery, Sunny, Yellow and White Table~~~
Our weather is all over the place right now. I am NOT complaining though because I am SO sorry for all those who are being devastated by the tornados and floods. But when it is gray and rainy outside I need to set a cheery table for inside! What is better than yellow!!?? I got this yellow and white tablecloth last year and hadn't used it so that is my base. I wanted a little texture on the table so am using the round, rattan chargers. I really wanted yellow and white astromeria for my flowers but couldn't find them. So daisies are being used and they are a cheery flower too!
 I used a white plate with a pretty edge, a yellow dinner plate with an embossed edge, my favorite white salad plate, a scalloped edge yellow bowl and a budvase in the bowl.
 Yellow votives are at our places too.
 I placed a tiny bee in the edge of the lantern.
 And used a very simple pocket fold for our napkins.
 My terrarium is back on the table, filled with a large ceramic bird and a nest in a clay pot and some greens. I just leaned the garden fork against it. The wicker S and P add a little more texture.
 Yesterday, before I got the flowers the sun peeked out for awhile so you know me, I had to get a few shadow shots:)
~~~BEE Happy, Sunny Yellow Table!!!~~~

Hello! Does a sunny yellow table just make you smile? It does me. Of course, adding a touch of black and white just makes me swoon!!!! I found the gingham checked tablecloth at CTS and knew what I wanted to do. Set a pretty table just for YOU! So, please, come and sit with me and we'll look around.
 For this table I had to use my Napolean BEE flatware:) It is a staple in the summer here. The placemat is reversible to a black and white stripe as you can see on the edges. These white lanterns came from CTS several years ago. I placed a faux bee on each of them too.
 I love these honeycomb jars with the bee on top! They were another CTS find.

 The edge of the placemat has this pretty flowered embroidery.
 Another bee has landed on the top of the bee skep!
 And the bee juice glasses will be filled with OJ.

 I also found the sunflower S and P at CTS. I just realized this could be an ad for them!!!!:)

 I placed the bee skep under a cloche that has a nest on one side and some butterflies on the other.  The cloche rests on a sunflower plate which rests on a glass cake pedestal.

I found mangos on sale and I LOOOOVE mango.

 We are all set, please pull up a chair.
I placed a tiny bud vase of yellow daisies at each setting too.
I got these at the place where I used to work. I love the shape.

 You can see the butterflies on the cloche in this shot.

Thanks so much for your visit. We have finally broken our heat wave, it is 77 GLORIOUS degrees right now!!!!!!! If it doesn't rain I will be running over to the pool later for water aerobics! XO, Pinky
