Winter in the Dining Room

Good morning my friends. Do you all have your Christmas away? I am so glad to say I do! It is a huge job, but I am liking the clean slate to cozy up each room! Today I will share my dining table, set for winter.
The setting is a gold beaded place mat, black and cream dinner plate banded in gold, and the winter branches salad plate topped with a leopard votive holder. I love a touch of leopard always. I also paired a leoapard napkin with the hand embroidered napkins that were my Mother-in-laws.
I love these pretty champayne flutes, from Pier 1 that were a gift last Christmas.
My stately deer stayed on the table and I just changed the base with some pine greens and pine cones.
I also brought out this beautiful black and gold runner.

I love the gold flatware with these dishes too.

Gold candles on the glass candle sticks and a votive under the leopard glass pieces.

At night we can light the candles.

The deer pillows are still here too.

On my teeny server is the other deer. I just realized, I took these before I put the candles in the candle sticks:) The runner is snowflakes and I kept the gold bead garland.

Thanks so much for your visit!

The Christmas Tree!!!!

Good morning! Today I would like to share with you our Christmas tree. I love the glow of the lights on a Christmas tree. It makes me feel warm and happy. I bet a lot of you feel the same.
Several years ago I decided to add a touch of leopard to our tree. It has been red and gold for probably 8 or 9 years now and when we moved here I started to add leopard touches to several rooms and at Christmas decided to add it to the tree too!  There are several hundred ornaments on this tree, but it is a labor of love for me. As you approach the living room you can see the tree. Actually you can see it from the front door, which I love.

I added leopard ribbon to the red ribbon for the bows on top.
I will show you some of my favorite ornaments.

This shot was to show you the large gold stems I use on the branches.
These leopard ornaments were at Pier 1 for just one or 2 years so I got all I could.
The year that Joe's Mom died, his sister got all of us this ornament for our trees.

The "crystal" drops are actually plastic, but look great.

These ornaments all get wrapped in tissue paper to keep them nicely when they get packed away.

The red one is velvet with some beading.

As you can see, I tuck some large ornaments deep into the branches to give the tree some depth.
The view from the breakfast room.
 The view from the kitchen.
I got this clay nativity many years ago. Joe made me the creche and modeled it from the one they had as children.

Just a couple of daytime shots.

Every year since we got Colleen, Joe gives me an ornament to place a picture of her or her with us. This one was 2 years ago at breakfast with Santa:)

Thanks so much for your visit. I will be posting several times a week now so that I can show you everything! I hope you are all wrapping up your decorating. I am so glad I got it done early!

Glam and Glitz for Christmas Dining

I like to keep the dining room table set, as it is the first room you see when you enter our home. We are also on our neighborhood House Tour this coming Friday night. So, I wanted to share this with you. This is a long post as I decided to share the whole room, so get comfy if you want to follow along:) As you know, I always love a touch of leopard. So, I added the napkins and the votives.
The gold embroidered napkins were my MIL's and are hand made and beautiful!
Beaded placemats and my good black and gold china are perfect for this special holiday!
The little beaded trees are ornaments.
A forest of trees march along the center of the table
and my Grandmothers wine glasses grace each place setting.

 The view from the foyer
Trees are on the pillows too.

Lots of candles are on the table too. They are all LED so can be left unattended.
I found these pretty gold tapers this year.

And I made the centerpiece several years ago.

The runner says NOEL at each end in beaded letters.

In the corner I placed this small tree and decorated it with gold ornaments and a touch of leopard on it too.

In this corner several belsnickle Santas sit on the tiny server.

This antique one is a favorite.

As the sun goes down the room glows.

Leopard packages and clip on ornaments are on the garland along with gold garland and red berries.

Thanks for sticking with me. I know we are all so very busy right now. I wish you all a beautiful day!!!!
XO, Pinky
