As you can see it is a creamy background with lots of greens and some deep browns too. I love this runner! I used my twiggy chargers that I got at World Market last year when we were in Fl. I SO wish there was a store near me! World Market, are you listening?????? On the charger I placed our grren everyday dishes and a creamy scalloped salad plate. I love these creamy dishes and I got them at Walmart!!! I have been searching for more to no avail:(
I brought a pot of white lantana in from the deck for our centerpiece. It is in a textured, ceramic pot. I raised it up on an iron stand to give it more presence! And the brown iron stand blends so well with the runner too.
The glasses are from Home Goods, last year. They had them in a lighter wicker and this dark stain, which I loved.
Yup, I stood on my step stool to get this birds eye view for you! I am "vertically challenged" so thought I would see what life is like UP HERE:):)
Detail of the pot, but it is an overcast day so I also took one.....
with the flash to show you.
The Target birdy S and P are standards in the summer here.
And these napkin rings are some of my favorites. I use them often. The very lightly patterned napkin is simply rolled and placed in the ring.
The lantana has lots of blooms coming out....soon!
We have pretty casual dinners here these nights, so clean up is easy and we can GET OUTTA HERE if we have to on a moments notice:):) Tonight it is a tuna and pasta salad, fruit salad and deviled eggs. Great summer fare. Tomorrow we may dine al fresco out on the deck.....stay tuned:):) Thanks SO much for your visit. Have a wonderful weekend!!! I will be linking to these parties:

Pinky, I admire you so! Here you are in the middle of selling your home, making sure EVERYTHING is perfect and you set a darling table.
ReplyDeleteI love how cozy YOUR breakfast room is. You better keep an eye on those chargers the next time I am over.... I think I have a purse big enough to slip them right in... you just may think they are packed away in some box. Heaven knows, you have so many of them right now!
So wonderful to see you yesterday!
What a great table you set! Love all your details!
ReplyDeleteIt must be nerve wracking to have the home ready for show all the time! I hope all goers well!
Love the table setting.. I'll look through my dish stash. I believe I have 2 of those salad plates. If I do, you can have them.. dont thank me yet:-) I gotta do a search.. I'lll email you if I find them..
ReplyDeletePinky,
ReplyDeleteYou, Go Girl!!!
Keep those home fires burning for your family...in the comfort of the AC, of course! Your table is lovely!!! The night we got our first offer on the dream house, before moving to this side of the Prairie, I had the table set for four. The Realtor told me they just stood the longest time in the kitchen and said,"This fills like home"! They truly wanted the home, but their loan didn't go through. Dining out~of~doors???I'll be back!!!
Fondly,
Pat
My husband and I are retired from the Wash., DC area now living in DE and we shopped at World Market in Alexandria, VA (there are three in VA) Not real close, but closer than FLA and a nice day trip. Your pics are lovely.

ReplyDeleteIt all looks beautiful! You seem to be making some lovely dinners even though you term it "casual" right now. :) It is a challenge to have the house show ready all the time so I feel for you.
ReplyDeleteI tried to collect those creamy white dishes from Walmart myself. I bought 2 salad plates after being advised another shipment would arrive soon. Alas, it never did. Not sure why they discontinued such a lovely pattern.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Love your table! And, our family are the most deserving of special touches in our homes!
ReplyDeleteIt 's lovely table, Pinky, I love the colors and textures. The chargers are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThank's for linking to Let's Dish!
What a pretty table, Pinky. Too bad about not being able to get more of those WM dishes as they're sooo pretty. It is stressful showing a house and I'm amazed at all that you accomplished.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely table! I love the wicker charges and the green plates. So simple but so classic!
ReplyDeleteI love the rustic nature of your table setting. Lots of greenery and texture keeps it interesting. You might be able to find more of those dishes online. Have you tried that? Sometimes when the store is out, they still have them online. Just a thought. I remember the days of having to have a house ready for showings at all times. That can be so stressful! Hopefully, you will land a contract soon and those days will be over.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table, Pinky! I love those glasses. The whole table is so inviting. I would leave it set up for showings, too; it's so nice!
ReplyDeleteGreat, great table Pinky....I love the colors and the great textures from the glasses to the chargers...Now you have encouraged me to stop by World Market...!!
ReplyDeleteI just love the color scheme you chose .... glad you did OK on that step stool!!!....
Pinky, You have set a beautiful table for your family. I've been to a World Market recently. It was sensory overload for me. Maybe I need a friend to go with me next time! I feel for you having to have your home show ready. Don't we all live like that?? Hope an offer comes very soon for you and your hubby.
ReplyDelete♥♥♥ the green and white!
ReplyDeleteI have seen you frequently commenting on StoneGable and thought I would come to your blog...it's lovely! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSerene and lovely table. Love the green and brown quilted runner, setting the stage for an outdoorsy table. The rustic accents of glass holders and place mats are the perfect addition. Reminds me of eating outside underneath branches and birds. Thanks for sharing. ~CJ
ReplyDeleteHi, Pinky!!!! Wow....I guess that might drive you nuts after awhile having to get up and get out at a moment's notice for the house to be shown. It'll all be worth it in the end. So glad you were able to squeeze in a lovely table for your own enjoyment. That runner IS a beaut!!! I hope the house sells really soon so that you can get back to "normal" and be able to create your pretty tables whenever you feel! Take care, and have a good weekend!
