I made this arrangement several years ago. It has 3 pieces of bamboo across the base and then artichokes and white filler flowers and some greens. Easy, peasy!
The candle sticks get changed out frequently too.
Ths is my TINY server right now. My real server is too big for this room. On it I have a lamp that also has oriental lettering, a wicker cart that I painted black and filled with greens, and 2 more Asain figurines.
Above the sever is a mirror that I found at Home Goods several years ago too.
This is looking from behind the table towards the front door. The lady holding a child is clay, and raised on the canvas. It was my in-laws and I have always loved it. Below that is a tiny plate with a lady too.
2 lumbar pillows sit on the arm chairs.
Do you see the bamboo plates in the hutch? I always THINK I will change them out for the seasons but somehow never get to it:) Now that it is the first thing you see when you come in, maybe I should!!!
This is one of 2 screens, the other is in the foyer hallway.
So, there you have it. Soon, I will have it lightened up for SPRING!!!! Thanks for your visit. XO, Pinky

Pinky,
ReplyDeleteElegantly done, dear friend!
I adore your centerpiece!!! The lumbar pillow, not only a nice accessory, but "Mr.Ed" & I both enjoy the added cushioning for lingering beyond mealtime. Sure you and Joe do,too!
Your dining room came together so very nicely...it's almost as if you've always been there!!!
Thank you for sharing!
Fondly,
Pat
Lovely tablescape....Your bamboo plates are so pretty too in your hutch!
ReplyDeleteGREAT! You know I love this, as I am very drawn, like you, to Oriental, dishes, furniture, figure and almost all accessories!Your dinner table looks wonderful. Swoon for the Japanese worriers.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
FABBY
I think the lighting is better in this house because even though I've seen your collection before it seems so different in this house. That's a good thing, right!! I like your mini server and the mirror with it. It's really a great look. Your dining table looks great and I love the centerpiece you put together. You are good at arrangements!!
ReplyDeletePinky, your room is so pretty. I always love seeing your oriental themes and decor, so pretty. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThe table runner is perfect and I live the vase and flowers!
ReplyDeletePinky...I love all of your treasures and your beautiful asian decor....I have a soft spot in my heart for Japanese decor....
ReplyDeletePinky, everything looks so wonderful!! I know you just love your new house:-) Thanks for stopping by...and I too love wood and can't bear to see beautiful wood, especially antique pieces painted. My grandmother painted lots of furniture white so I grew up with painted furniture and could not wait to start stripping all that paint off in the 1990s, lol.
ReplyDeleteYour table runner is so different and interesting, with all the french script being so popular right now it's a great twist with the Asian symbol letters. The Oriental mood is very serene and welcoming.

Very pretty! I remember how your old home had a bit of an Asian flair to it and love seeing how this room really shows that design totally so much more. It's so nice to see something different from all the others. I do hope you keep your own style because it's very pretty and you have such interesting pieces too. Love it!
