7 Water lilies are blooming today!!!!!!!!!!!!

This may not sound like a big deal to most of you, but for us it sure is! We had a pond at our old house, and had water lilies, which we HOPED would bloom, but it just didn't get enough sun. I think in the 20 some years we had that pond, we MAY have seen 5 blooms! Well, this is a whole new world, living in the SUN!!!! The fish are thriving!!! We have counted 42 and have given some away to a neighbor now. This plant on the left is a water hibiscus that will bloom probably by the end of the month.
 The blooms are HUGE, about the size of a salad plate!!

 We have some pink water lilies,
 white lilies,
 and a paler pink one too.
 The plant in the center of the pond is a water iris that already bloomed..


 It is so nice to come out here in the morning and the fish come RIGHT over to me to get fed!!! I come out and say, Good morning guys, are you ready to eat?"



 
I hope you enjoy seeing the pond. This is Joe's baby, he LOVES having this pond.

    Hi Pinky! Oh, this is just gorgeous! I can't imagine how wonderful it would be to get to see this every day! Your home is so pretty! Thank you so much for your advice on my living room. You have such beautiful decorating taste and I really appreciate it. I still don't know exactly what I want to do but love all of the ideas.

      Thanks, Cathy!!! He is VERY handy and can do just about anything he puts his mind to. He builds furniture, can do electrical and plumbing, built our bar, it goes on and on. I can't find YOUR blog???

    Pinky, thank you so much for sending me the links to your pond posts. I am loving it! We had a pond at our last house and are just now building one at this house after living here almost 4 years. I've missed it so much. Those little fish are just like little puppies. Aren't they? Pinning. :)
