My FIRST Peonies!!!

I have never had peonies before. Yes, that's right. I did have a few peony bushes at the old house but since we were in the woods they never bloomed and finally died out. BUT, now I DO have peonies and am so excited to share them with you!!! Someone described these beautiful blooms as the jewels of the garden. I have to agree!!!
 I cut them and placed them in one of my blue and white jars.
 So delicate.


 What a joy to see them first thing in the morning.

 Here they are outside on the bush.
 I plan to add several MORE bushes.
 As you may know the blooms are very top heavy so we support them with these rings.

    They bloomed beautifully. The perfect color, Pinky. My favorite flower. I have never grown them.

    Congrats Pinky. How wonderful. They are spectacular. Aren't they the most gorgeous flowers???? It is so delicate and feminine. I just all all its delicate petals. So glad you got to pick a few to enjoy in your home. Beautiful photos.

    We had peonies at the farm and loved them. We never had any luck growing them at our old house. Maybe we can try them here.

    beautiful my friend, I have pale pink ones too but they were damaged in the recent hail storm. I'm hoping there a re still a few blooms yet to come. Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop xo

    Just beautiful, interesting that they wouldn't grow in the shade. you have the perfect spot for a nice variety, now. love that sweet shade of pale pink!

    Peonies are my favorite flower Pinky. I just wish they last longer. We had dinner at a friends last week and she had a single bloom in a vase that was bigger than a dinner plate! I'm not kidding. It looked like a crepe paper flower. Remember those?

    I accidentally threw away a peony bush this week.

    Don't ask. :/

    Welcome to the world of peonies, Pinky! I can't get enough of them. Yours look beautiful. I call the peony the queen of the garden. Only thing is wish the blooms last longer, right?

    Your peonies are beautiful. I love peonies! My mother in law had them all around her house. I tried to transplant them...but they did not make it. I need to purchase some and start over!
