The Tree Is Up!!!!

I have been decorated for over a week but hadn't done my tree yet. I thought my sister might want to help and she was happy to since she doesn't put up a big tree anymore. This tree is 10 feet and with the topper goes to 12. I am 5 feet nothing so make a gazillion trips up and down the ladder:):) It was nice to have her here to hand me things!!! I'll show you some of the details.

 The "crystals" are actually plastic from the $ store! In fact alot of the balls are from the $ store too.
 It is all red and gold, a favorite combo of mine.
 I love a sparkly tree. I had a very traditional tree all while my kids were growing up and when the flew the coop I went more sparkly and glammed up:):)
 I use gold picks through out the tree to fill in spaces.
 I also use different sized balls and bury some of the real big ones IN the tree.
 The topper is done with 2 bows, front and back and then I add berry stems and sticks.

 There are also red and gold iced branches stuck into the tree.

 These poinsettia ornaments, I found at Lowes!

 Setting the tree up:)
 top 3 feet almost done..

 Tada!!!!
 I found the clay nativity figures at a store YEARS ago and Joe made me the creche.
 My Mom made these ornaments way back when so they are very sentimental.

 The year Joe's Mom died, I invited his whole family to come to our house and stay for a week over Christmas. His sister Janie gave us these ornaments.
 This one came from Winterthur museum several years ago.
Thanks for your visit. I hope you are all getting into the spirit of Christmas!!!

~~~O Tannenbaum!!!~~~
 Hello everyone and merry Christmas season!!!! It is so hard to believe it is coming so fast! I spent Sunday and today Christmas shopping and got some great deals and had ALOT of fun! I love finding what I feel is the perfect gift. I wanted to share our Christmas tree!!! We have it in the morning room, that is the only spot it would fit:):) The ceiling in here is peaked so it fits well here and I love that I can see it from the hall, the living room and the kitchen.  The skirt is a velvet center with an embroidered edge. I have done this red and gold theme for several years. I have too much invested to change it!
 The poinsettia ornaments were found at LOWES!!!
 I LOVE bling and these ornaments are full of bling!
 Here are some tips for decorating your tree. I use long sparkly branches resting on the tree branches. You just kind of push them in and they fill in the spaces wonderfully. I have a combination of red and gold branches on the tree.
 Here is one type of the gold branches.
 I also have several styles of crystal (faux) hanging pieces.
 I love these stars.
 The "crystals" just sparkle in the sunlight. We haven't had any sun in days so these are not the best pictures and I apologize.
 These are cut out.
 This is my favorite ornament, I think.
 My topper is 2 large bows attached at the front and the back. Then a variety of sticks are inserted into the top of the tree. I actually keep the topper decorated when I take the tree down. I put tissue paper into the loops of the bows to keep them nice.
 My view from the kitchen. We put the table on an angle to accomodate the tree and I like it!
 The green ornament is one of 3 that I have that my Mom made MANY years ago.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my tree. I appreciate every visit and read every comment and try to respond. XO, Pinky
~~~WELCOME to my Living Room!!!~~~

Welcome, please come on in! This is my tree in our living room. It is all red and gold and SPARKLY!!!! I love SPARKLE!!!! I will show you some of my favorite things.... We put a manger sceen under the tree. I have heard that Jesus is THE gift at Christmas and I love that! Don't forget to click on the pictures for a better shot/view!!!!

 Here are some of my fav ornaments!
 This red with gold swirls, I got at Steinmart several years ago.
 Here is the TOP of the tree
 I like to put some lARGE ornaments into the insdie of the tree to give it depth.

I place red and gold branches throughout the tree too!

 This is the ornament I got from Winterthur on Tuesday! It is so pretty and will remind me of my day each year.
 Another pretty one.
 Some FAUX crystal ornaments. I ahve about 60 of these on the tree I think.

 This is an ornament that my Mother made MANY years ago.
 Another one made by my Mom.

Here is the mantle. On each side there are gold trees then a Santa handmade by a lady in Texas. We collected 4 of them from her on different years. They are TREASURES of ours! These 2 are Polish Santas and each have a doll in the hand from Kracow!!!!! It is written on the bottom of the doll.!!!
 I love these dancing reindeer too! AND, last year they (not mine) were in Southern Lady magazine! I was so surprised to see them in a magazine!!!

 One of the Polish Santas
 The other Polish guy.
 This is the hearth.
 This Santa on the bike is new this year. I have several Joyce Ditz Santas. The life size one in the foyer that you saw is Joyce Ditz. I love the faces on her Santas.

 This is my hubby's bar. He decorates it too for Christmas! In the plans for the house this was supposed to be a closet?????? THAT sounded too weird to me so we made it a bar. he did all the work, made the cabinets etc.
 Some os the things on the shelves.

This is a Thomas Kincaid tree!

There are 2 sofa tables behind the sectional. On each table is a large reindeer, a Santa made my the lady in Texas, and a lamp from India.
 This is the Italian Santa. He has a doll from Italy in his hand!

 This one I call the Regal Santa cause he has a real fur coat.

 My shelf in the corner that usually has blue and white pieces now holds angels for Christmas.

Another Ditz Santa.

My Hummel Nativity.

 Love the camels.

This shepard is Joe's favorite piece
 The angel watches over.

A Fitz and Floyd Santa and 2 reindeer candle holders.
 He is very detailed, I will show you the back too.

 Details of the mantle.

Hope you have enjoyed my little tour! Please come back!!! We will be in the dining room, bathrooms and then downstairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you SO much for coming by and leaving a comment!!!! XOXO Pinky
