Spring on the Breakfast Bar!

I put together a little vignette on the kitchen bar area. I am LONGING for Spring even though there is still some snow on the ground. It got up to 51 on Sunday so alot is melting. Soon we will be seeing things coming to life, birds nesting and robins singing!!! So, here is my ode to Spring. 2 beautiful nests and flowers in a cloche.
 A twiggy nest and forsythia stem and a bird finial fill the right side of the large basket.
 On the left side is one of my bunnies. The 2 eggs next to her came from my dear friend Yvonne last night. She and Bobby and another couple came here for a drink them we all went out to a delicious dinner!
 The bottom of the eggs is flat so they can sit up.
 I placed this nest on a pedestal, it is filled with daisies and yellow berries and some eggs.
 This little bird was also a gift fromYvonne. It goes PERFECTLY with the nest and the runner. How did she know???

 The smaller bird finial sits an another pedestal.
 I also placed a bunch of faux tulips in a jar with some rocks.
 This makes me happy every time I walk into the kitchen now.
 I have also been busy pulling out the bunnies and Spring decor so will share it all.
 The top of the fridge doesn't look like that now:)

 Thanks for your visit.

~~~Spring in the Breakfast Room~~~
Good morning!!! Today is a happy day for me because I am spending the day with my beautiful daughter! She has the day off and she asked me to spend the day with her! I can't tell you how much that means to me! Now, I thought I would share the breakfast room as it is now. Even though we are not having many Spring like temps it IS Spring. I am so glad I brought this hutch into the breakfast room. For those of you who don't know my hubby built this. I love, love it! Here it is. I did this before Easter and will be removing some of the bunnies eventually, but also feel bunnies say Spring too, and not just Easter.
 These little ceramic bunnies are Goebel, the company that makes Hummels.
 This is a new one from Kirklands this year.
 I ceramic bird in a nest under a cloche.
 I filled this hurricane with various eggs.
 Opps, this picture is out of sequence. This is the tall bunny, also new this year. I filled the basket on his back with miniature tulips, ivy and teeny miniature geraniums that I had in my stash:)
 A watering can sits on the shelves under the TV along with one of my demijohns and a little gardening guy. Hopefully I can get outside and plants some flowers SOON!
 I got this pot in Fl. It was love at first sight! Love the handle and finish on it.
 I love the saying on this piece.
 This guy I have had for many years!
 He is a stately guy:)
 I got the carrots in Fl. also so thought he would like them to munch on.
 I also got this turtle shell on our trip, in St. Augustine.
 Thanks so much for stopping by. I am linking to:
~~~A New Spring Wreath and Tutorial!!!~~~

 HI! I decided I wanted to make a new Spring/Easter wreath, so I gathered my supplies and thought I would do a tutorial too. Please excuse the things in the background, my work table is here in the storage area of our basement.:) In the picture above, you can see that I started with a plain grapevine wreath.  Then, to that I added another twiggy, moss covered wreath. I just wired them together. Putting 2 wreaths together gives you a nice, lush look. Then I took a bush of forsythia and cut it into 3 large pices and placed them around the wreath. I wanted to make the finished wreath much larger than the size of the 2 wreaths. NOTE: Since I did this I cut the forsythia into more pieces and placed them ALL around the wreath to make a more circular design.
 Here you can see the "twigginess" of the top wreath.
 I then took a bush of spring flowers and cut that all apart too. This is a good designer's trick, use bushes whenever possible. You get MUCH more bang for your buck!
 Here are the pices after I cut them off the main stem. You can see my glue pot in the background. That is another designer trick. NO GLUE GUN. The pot os so mch faster and easier.
 I then made my bow.
and attached it to the wreath on the left side. I am usually right to left oriented. I have observed that some peole are right to left and others are left to right;)
 I then added the largest flowers from the bush and then filled in with the others.
 You just dip your flower stem into the glue and attach to the wreath. Or, see the stick that is wrapped with a pipe cleaner? You can dip that into the glue and add glue to a pick.
 I cut this bush apart for a filler flower.
 These egg picks I found at CTS for just $1.00!!!
 I forgot to get a picture of the other egg pics from Michaels. They had 5 smaller eggs per pick and I used 7 of them. You can see them in this shot. It ALWAYS takes more material than you think it will!!! I also cut apart a yellow filler bush and added it to the wreath.
Here it is on my front door. It is a very nice pick me up with all this cold, dreary, windy weather we are having!!!! NOTE: since I did this post we have had 2 BEAUTIFUL days!!!

 Here it is on my front door. It is a very nice pick me up with all this cold, dreary, windy weather we are having!!!!

 I love how everything really pops against my black door.

Hope you like my new wreath and have gotten some tips.  Thanks so much for your visit. I am linking to:
