HI everyone! Tonight I wanted to share a great recipe with you and I will be sharing it over at Yvoone's party On the Menu Monday. Ingredients
1/2 pound bacon, chopped
2 cups thinly sliced onions
Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup Creole mustard
1/2 head white cabbage, shredded (about 1 1/2 pounds)
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1 Turbo Dog Beer , or any beer you have!
1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions
In a large saucepan, over medium heat, render the bacon until
crispy. Add the onions. Season with pepper. Saute until the onions are soft, about 4 minutes. Add the mustard
and cabbage. Season with salt and pepper. Saute for 3 minutes. Add the garlic, and beer, cover and cook for 20
minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the cream, stir to mix and cook, covered for 10 minutes. Serve warm.

Pinky, You know I love cabbage and this looks just fabulous! I can imagine all those lovely flavors marrying together for such a great savory dish!
ReplyDeleteI looked at your prep time, cooking time etc and it said "0".... so at first I thought your recipe was a little joke! But once I started reading the ingredients I knew that this was seriously good!
